Mega Bloks has been making Power Rangers sets since 2003 – exactly half the lifespan of the series itself! We’ve become superfans ourselves along the way. So there’s no chance that we’d let an epic anniversary like today pass us by.
As other fans of course know, today is the 20th anniversary of the series. On August 28, 1993, the first episode of the American series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aired.
The show spawned a craze and twenty years later, Saban is still cranking out new seasons of its genre-defining series.
To celebrate our small part of the phenomenon, Mega Bloks has released a 20th Anniversary Set that finally puts the original six rangers in Mega Bloks form.
Although many Mega Bloks Power Rangers sets were styled in the older version of our figures, it’s awesome to see this throwback set shaped in the new, super-articulated style of the current Megaforce line.
The original team of Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, Pink, and Green Ranger come in their classic uniforms, ready to defeat the forces of evil led by Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd!
The black and gold stand that comes with this set is perfect for collectors to display the figures, and features a classic MMPR logo embossed in gold.
